Kim and Jamie

Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you a few things about our lives. Our names are Kim and Jamie. While we don’t know you or the reasons for your ability to make such an amazing, selfless decision, we can only imagine that you must be a very special person and we truly respect and honor that about you already. We also appreciate that you must love your child more than anything and we can only hope that you will trust us to be a part of both you and your child’s life.
About Us
We met on a blind date seven years ago and have been together ever since. We’ll be married four years in January. While Kim has mourned the loss of children through miscarriages and together we have learned to accept our inability to have children, our lives have been full of wonderful events and happiness. We enjoy spending time together, spending time with family and friends, going for country rides, having picnics when we four-wheel or just staying home on Sundays to watch a home movie. We think that this has shaped us to be positive, fun-loving people who have room for so much more. We would love to start a family to fill the empty spot in our hearts.
Our Home
Our home is just on the outskirts of town, close enough to be convenient to go shopping, but far enough to be in a country setting. Our house is one-story with a full basement and garage. It has two bedrooms (one currently being converted to a nursery), a large kitchen, dining room (which Jamie built himself with a little help from friends and family) and a large living room. Our back yard is also good size. We have an apple tree, too. Since we moved into our house 6 years ago, we have planted several Christmas trees, flower gardens (roses are Kim’s favorite), and planted a vegetable garden (Jamie is very proud that we are able to can and freeze vegetables for the entire winter and spring). Our community is a close-knit little town where everyone knows each other by first name. (It literally takes forever to grocery shop on Saturdays because of running into neighbors and friends or someone that wants to say hello). A new recreation center was just built last year, with a bowling alley and roller skating rink on the same street. We have a solid school system where the classes are smaller than average for more student attention.
